Background
I was born and raised in the south of Germany’s state of Hessen, but have lived in Munich since 2005. Following my Abitur (German Baccalaureate) in 2005 I went straight into the film business.
In 2010 I went to Kenya to work with children in the slums on a photography and movie project. As part of this I also produced my first documentary which was about a drug dealer in the slums of Nairobi.
The documentary about Christian Bruhn, „MEINE WELT IST DIE MUSIK“ has been released in January 2019 (cinema).
My latest documentary highlights a Trapper family living in the woods of Alaska, USA. „FOLLOW THE RIVER“, 2018, celebrated the Worldpremiere at the 52nd „International Hofer Filmtage“.
In Munich I started my traineeship at one of Germany’s biggest film production association, Bavaria Film GmbH.
After working as a camera assistant and shooting smaller projects on my own, I was given the opportunity to shoot corporate, image, commercial and documentary movies as a director of photography.
With every project I look for opportunities to grow further as a creative individual, and hence view every challenge as a chance to extend my knowledge and skill set.
